The Schola's Recordings

The Schola's latest CD, a recording of the Music of Gabriel Fauré, is now available on iTunes.

The Schola sing alongside the Belgravia Chamber Orchestra, an orchestra drawn from the finest orchestral players in London, in Fauré's magical setting of the Requiem and his beautiful Cantique de Jean Racine. Old Vaughanian Jack Comerford is the baritone soloist in the Requiem.

The CD also contains a recording of Fauré's Messe Basse which features the trebles of the choir whilst the older members of the choir perform Fauré's Ave Maria to complete the disc.

In Honour of Our Lady (2013)

This recording is a collection of music devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary and was recorded in Douai Abbey in June this year.  It contains music ranging from plainchant to James MacMillan, including settings of the Ave Maria by Elgar, Bruckner, Dupré, Saint-Saens, Parsons and Victoria, and a wide selection of other Marian texts set to music by Guerrero, Fauré, Britten, Tavener and others.
